Dear PAG Members,
As you have heard in the president’s speech, churches are re-opening. For us at PAG Tororo this reopening will be on the 4th of October 2020. However, only with proper Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This means that the leaders of our church need to be fully prepared to deal with the new rules and the church needs to be organized in a way so that each person is spaced at least 4 feet away from the next member.
Also, each member needs to make an appointment before they are allowed to come for prayers. In the appointment they will be given a chair number. If they are coming with house-mates, they will be able to sit together in a normal distance. Others are spaced 4 feet minimum. You will be given a chair number in either the 1st, or the second service at 8:30 or 10:00. The service will last only 1 hour so the cleaning team will have sufficient time to disinfect all the surface areas of the public before the next service starts.
Upon arrival at church, your appointment will be checked with our list and your temperature will be checked. If your temperature is okay you can proceed to your numbered seat. That is, if you have a clothe face-mask and know how to wear it properly, covering both your mouth and your nose. This mask MUST be kept in place during the full service. No handshaking, hugging or bonga greetings allowed!
Yes, these are the rules and we do not want any of our members to catch the virus during our church service. Entry to the service is restricted to persons who willingly agree to adhere to these new Corona Season Church Gathering Rules.
We as PAG leaders are happy to have the church reopening and invite you to willingly take part in these modified church services until such a time that vaccines make it possible to have full normal services once again.
As for now, we wait until all church leadership is trained in to a fully functioning PAG-Covid19-Task-Force before we can call ourselves ready for church reopening. So for now, expect another video church service online for this Sunday.
